The Nursery children have been busy learning about space. We have been learning all the names of the planets and building our own space station. We have learnt how astronauts brush their teeth in space and what they have to eat. We have listened to Gustav Holst’s “Mars” and “Venus” and talked about how the music made us feel. In PE we have pretended to be rockets blasting off to other planets and relaxed with some Cosmic Yoga. We are improving our fine motor skills playing with space-themed playdough and counting stars on our interactive number display. The children have engaged really well with this topic! We are having lots of fun!
