Percy the Park Keeper Role Play 

Reception children have been enjoying playing in the Role Play and reading stories about Percy the park keeper by the author Nick Butterworth. We drew and labelled the fox from ‘One Warm Fox’ and then we wrote a sentence.

Feeding birds in winter

Birds in winter need extra food to help keep them warm on cold winter days. We all made bird feeders to hang outside. The children mixed lard, bird seed, dried fruits and cheese.

Keeping Healthy 

The children in Reception have been learning about different ways of staying healthy.

Parents joined the Reception children for a mince pie and Christmas activity morning.  

Lest we forget

This year is the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. To commemorate this, we had a whole school assembly with singing from the whole school. They sang “We Remember”, ” Pack up your Troubles” and “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary”.  Out KS2 choir sang “In Flanders Fields”. We had a […]

Windsor castle

The Reception children made it to Windsor castle finishing our twenty five mile walk. They enjoyed a royal tea , learnt a medieval dance , tasted food that would have been eaten at a castle banquet and all the children were knighted. 

Sponsored walk to Windsor Castle

Reception have been braving the weather and each group have managed to walk two and a half miles (twelve miles in total) we are nearly half way!
