Buddy Groups

The children met for the first time this academic year to celebrate the theme of Remembrance together. It was the Year 6 children’s first time as buddy leaders and they did a great job in 6 Oak.

Egyptian Day

We have had a wonderful morning learning about the Egyptians. We have been making canopic jars, perfume bowls, soap sculptures, lamp burning, tomb painting, amulet making and mummification. This afternoon is banquet time!

Buddy Reading

Oak class visited Sycamore class to practice their ‘performance reading ‘. They got to know the children by sharing a book. Both classes enjoyed their time together.

Oak PE session

In 6 Oak we have been practicing a range of skills including shooting, hoopla hooping and hockey.   

First full week!

We have been working hard in all subjects. In Maths we have been using equipment to make a decimal number and revising the term tenths and hundredths. In outdoor learning we have been making the blocks for the pyramids that we designed yesterday. We will be making our pyramids in a few weeks.      

Hockey Year 5 and 6

On 20th June a Hockey coach from West Herts Hockey club came to school and ran some sessions with the year 5 and 6 pupils. They were taught basic skills as well as playing fun games.
