Take one Picture: ‘The Spirit of Christmas’

The children have worked so hard for our ‘Take one Picture’ project and the work they have produced is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came to have a look at our exhibition of work. If you missed it, here are some photos of everyone’s efforts.

Year 3 and 4 Football Festival

25.08.18 Year 3 and 4 children took part in a football festival, which was great fun. The children played exceptionally well and placed joint second! We played against both Boxmoore and Holtsmere End. We are extremely proud of the children! 🙂

Lest we forget

Buddy groups

We have had a lot of fun on treat Friday this afternoon. We have been working in our buddy groups on lots of different activities. The children have all worked really hard and behaved impeccably!                             

Insulators and conductors

Hawthorn have been continuing their investigations into electricity. Today they have devised an experiment to test which materials are conductors and which are insulators.     

Switches

Today, Hawthorn have been learning about electricity. We have modelled how electricity flows using tennis balls as electrons. Hawthorn Museum

This afternoon, Miss Johnson transformed Hawthorn classroom into a virtual museum. The children had a great time touring around the museum, deciding what type of sources they could find with and what those sources told us about Roman times.

Buddy Groups

On Wednesday afternoon the children did some Easter activities in the afternoon in their buddy groups. We all had an Easter egg hunt and then designed our own Easter eggs in our groups. The children worked really hard and had a lot of fun!
