World Down Syndrome Day

Today is World Down Syndrome Day and Birch class wanted to raise awareness by wearing odd socks! Children used different colours to colour in templates of socks to show their support.

Laurel class came to visit us in birch and showed us some stories they had written and illustrated. Laurel children read them to us and birch class had the opportunity to ask questions about the stories. We really enjoyed listening to the stories and learnt a lot  

KS1 Trip to St Mary’s Church

Birch Inter-school Competition

Birch Displays

      This term we have been working hard both at school and at home to contribute to our class displays.  We have made Titanic models, posters and fact files at home and we thoroughly enjoyed making puppets in our Forest School sessions.  

PE Gymnastics

Birch class have been practising using the apparatus in their PE lessons.  The children were exploring how to travel along, across, up and under the equipment.  They particularly enjoyed using our school wall bars.

Key Stage 1 Christmas Craft Afternoon

Yesterday we thoroughly enjoyed getting in the Christmas spirit during our Key Stage 1 Christmas Craft afternoon.  We had fun making snowmen, sparkly Christmas stockings, Christmas trees, decorating biscuits, making Christingles and much, much more!  Thank you to everyone who came along.  We hope the children and all our visitors enjoyed the afternoon.  

Making Fruit Salad
